Majestic 12 In 1988, two FBI offices received similar versions of a memo titled “Operation Majestic-12…” claiming to be highly classified government document. The memo appeared to be a briefing for newly-elected President Eisenhower on a secret committee created to exploit a recovery of an extra-terrestrial aircraft and cover-up this work from public examination. An Air Force investigation determined the document to be a fake.

Marc Rich (1934-2013), aka Marcell David Reich, was a businessman and fugitive from justice for many years. This release consists of material related to the FBI’s search for Rich while he was a fugitive; the bulk of the material is from the period between 1989 and 1991.
Marcus Garvey
Marcus Mosiah Garvey, Jr. (1887-1940), a Jamaican born immigrant, was an early twentieth century African-American leader who was a founder and staunch proponent of the black nationalist movement. In the aftermath of World War I, the FBI began investigating Garvey’s activities, looking to deport him as an undesirable alien. In 1922, he was convicted on a mail fraud charge in connection with some of business and organizational activities in which he was involved; his sentence was later commuted by President Coolidge. This material has been released before and consists of materials from 1922 to 1965; the bulk of the file ranges 1922 to 1927.
